This question is often difficult to answer since food packaging has many different tasks: it must protect the food from environmental influences, present the product optimally and at the same time be reduced to the essentials, be affordable, produced in an environmentally friendly manner and, if possible, be able to be processed with existing machines. In addition, it must be able to be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally compatible manner and must not emit any harmful substances.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
For organic food producers, it is clear that there is still much need for research and development on environmentally friendly packaging, but also the need for up-to-date waste management. Nevertheless, there is room for innovation and it is important to take advantage of it. For the A\u00f6L and SOMMER, the reduction of as well as the search for the optimal packaging is one of the priorities in food processing because anything that can contribute to the sustainability of the products is taken seriously by organic food producers and processors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
