The consequences of our diet and the entire food system in its current form are exceeding the limits of the planet, as well as those of society. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations can only be achieved with a sustainable transformation. In order to transform the current food system from conventionally intensive to an ecologically socially responsible, we are relying on comprehensive further development.
As an organic food producer, we are actively working to set the path to a 21st-century cuisine worthy of the name. Organic farming, mainly plant-based nutrition and minimal food waste play an important role in this. The future development of our food system, towards a health-promoting, ecologically, socially and economically sustainable form,
offers room for the actors to shape it. AöL and SOMMER would like to actively participate in this process.
