vegan canapés

For this year’s Veganuary we have a wonderfully simple and wonderfully delicious recipe for you. Canapés are the ideal party snack, practical finger food and handy appetizers in one. And super quick and versatile to prepare – and probably even quicker to nibble away. The most important ingredient are our bread chips, optionally paprika or salt & pepper.

Ingredients

1 package bread chips
150 ml water
100 g almonds, blanched and soaked
4 tablespoons oil
2 tsp rosemary
2/3 tsp onion powder
1 small onion
1-2 tbsp. mustard
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 chili
1/2 package chives
1 clove of garlic
salt

Preparation

Gently simmer almonds in hot water for 15 minutes. Then put all ingredients except bread chips, chili, chives and onions in a high-powered blender. Now puree until a fine paste is formed. Fold in the other ingredients, do not puree. Put the spread on the bread chips and decorate as you like.

Tip: The chili makes this spread special and provides a fresh touch. If you don’t like it so spicy, you can use less chili.
